Nigerian brand Gozel Green has evolved into a spectacular mixture of classic, alternative and contemporary fashion brand. Founded by twin sisters Sylvia and Olivia Enekwe-Okoji, the passion and drive to design clothing that would tell African stories in an unconventional, original and artistic way continues to drive every collection, design and creation.

The latest collection brings a sporty take to African design with geometrical shapes and bold pops of color. Featuring jersey-style tops, basket-weave designs and relaxed silhouettes, the “SportLight” collection is a harmony of structured tailoring and playful touches. Evident in the latest designs are artistry, originality and timelessness, each playing a key role in the Lagos-based brand’s ethos. The styles represent many art and design forms including fabric deconstruction, color-blocking, clean lines and asymmetry.

The designers were inspired to find an equilibrium between the various design elements employed in the collection because “balance is what we all seek after witnessing a pandemic that has changed the way we live our lives, engage and express our personal styles.”

According to the brand, the pieces are “an expression of how generations can infuse basic elements of their style into one.” From cropped tops to the standout basket weave construction that come in many colors, the “SportLight” collection designed to reflect the positive effect of balance on the wellness of the soul, body, and spirit, all in the signature Gozel Green way.
