Andrea Iyamah Debuts SS20 Collection at Lagos Fashion Week

Known for its tropical flair, label Andrea Iyamah’s spring/summer 2020 collection features a citrusy color palette, conceptual swimwear, and elegant, flowy dresses—proof of her ability to execute both casual and formal looks perfectly.

Ready-to-wear highlights include a bell-sleeved maxi dress with a patterned bottom and shoulders and a beautifully draped tangerine, off-the-shoulder dress.

Elsewhere in the collection, vibrant tribal prints are reimagined as delicate beach-ready cover-ups with thigh-baring slits, sheer stomach panels or other off-beat, sensual details.

Reminding us of her appreciation for the abstract, designer Dumebi Iyamah also presented new, bold swimwear. Standout pieces include the lemon two-piece with mandarin and pink ties as well as the highcut, sunburnt orange bikini with a large belt and a metal detail on the top.

This year’s collection saw new, bolder accessories from the label including small colorful bags and woven basket earrings, a nod to the local market culture.

The label emphasized the light, breezy feel of the collection by adorning her models with butterfly clips.
